Piercing Aftercare: Healing the Right Way

A great piercing doesn’t end when you leave the studio. Proper aftercare ensures it heals beautifully.

CLEAN TWICE DAILY

Wash the piercing using saline solution or piercing aftercare spray with clean hands only. Avoid touching the area unnecessarily during healing.

DON'T TOUCH OR TWIST

Resist the urge to twist, rotate, or play with your jewelry. Let it heal undisturbed.

AVOID WATER & SWIMMING

Stay out of pools, lakes, and oceans during the healing period to prevent infection. Avoid sleeping on fresh piercings - use a travel pillow if needed.

WATCH FOR INFECTION SIGNS

Redness, swelling, pain, and discharge are normal for the first few days. But if symptoms worsen or don't improve, reach out to us immediately.

HEALING TIMELINES

Lobe: 6-8 weeks | Cartilage (helix, tragus, conch): 3-6 months | Nose: 2-4 months | Navel: 6-9 months | Tongue: 4-6 weeks

FAQs

Does piercing hurt?

The pain is quick and momentary. Most clients describe it as a sharp pinch that's over in seconds. Cartilage piercings may be slightly more uncomfortable than lobe piercings, but the discomfort is brief.

Needle vs. Gun: What's the difference?

Needles are safer, cleaner, and cause less trauma to your tissue. Piercing guns can shatter cartilage, increase infection risk, and lead to complications. We only use needles.

Can I bring my own jewelry?

For safety and hygiene reasons, we use jewelry from our sterilized collection for fresh piercings. Once healed, you're free to wear your own pieces.

How much does a piercing cost?

Pricing depends on the piercing type and jewelry selected. Contact us for a detailed quote.

Can I change my jewelry right away?

No. Wait until your piercing is fully healed before changing jewelry. Changing too soon can irritate the piercing and delay healing.

What if my piercing gets infected?

Do you pierce minors?

Yes, with parental consent and presence. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with valid ID.

Is titanium better than surgical steel?

Titanium is lighter, more hypoallergenic, and ideal for sensitive skin or fresh piercings. Surgical steel is durable and great for healed piercings. We'll help you choose what's best for you.
