My Tattoo Journey

My love for art began early in childhood. Long before I understood the world of tattoos, I found joy in sketching, shading, and experimenting with form. Art wasn’t just a hobby. It was an emotional outlet and a core part of my identity.

Despite my artistic inclination, I chose a traditional academic path and pursued a degree in law. But even while studying legal texts, my mind would often drift to ideas for drawings and designs. To support myself during college, I began tattooing from home using basic tools. What started as a way to earn some extra money soon became something deeper. It sparked a creative fire I could no longer ignore.

After completing my law degree, I had a decision to make: follow the structured path of legal practice or dive fully into the unpredictable, passionate world of tattooing. I chose the latter and never looked back. A pivotal moment came when I reconnected with Sam Patel, a childhood friend who had just launched his own studio. He invited me to join his growing team, and I stepped into Sam Tattoo India, a space that has been my professional home for over six years.

In the beginning, I focused on black and grey work, learning the fundamentals of depth, detailing, and composition. Over time, I ventured into colour tattooing, starting with small pieces, gradually mastering colour theory, layering, pigment saturation, and smooth blending techniques.

What I Do Best

Today, I’m known for creating vibrant, emotionally resonant tattoos, each piece designed with care, technical precision, and an understanding of the story behind it. Whether it’s a minimalist symbol or a full-colour sleeve, I aim to deliver work that connects deeply with each client. One of the high points of my career was participating in the Kolkata Tattoo Convention 2023, where I won Runner-Up in the Best Large Colour Tattoo category. It was my first recognition at a national platform and a proud moment that reinforced my belief in continuous learning and evolving.

My Philosophy

The skin is my canvas, and every tattoo I create is a collaboration between memory, meaning, and art. I aspire to continue pushing my creative limits, participate in global conventions, and inspire more young artists to take the road less traveled.
